—-(John 16:33, Jer 29:11) God bless you!
Ptolemaic thinking says, “My BODY is mine; I’m going to enjoy it.
God-centered thinking acknowledges, “It is GOD’s; I have to respect it.

In our suffereings,
“My pain proves God’s absence” will be replaced with “My pain amplifies God’s purpose and grace.”

If you think it’s all about you, and I think it’s all about me, we have no hope in creating a perfect melody in this God-orchestrated life. No wonder our homes are so noisy, businesses so stress-filled, government so cutthroat, and harmony so rare. ‘Cause we’ve always been trained to think that it’s all about me.

I want a spouse that makes me happy and co-workers who always ask my opinion. I want weather that suits me and traffic that helps me and a government that serves me. It’s all about me.

Just look at our entertainment industry. A prominent actress justifies her appearance in a porn magazine saying, “I wanted to express MYSELF”

Self-promotion. Self-preservation. Self-centeredness.
But with all that, look at all the chaos. Why? Because it’s not the way that things should be. It’s not about me, or you. It’s about God. The God-centered life works. And it rescues us from this life that doesn’t.
